Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Research
- Identify and research prospective donors, charitable foundations, and grant-making bodies aligned with our mission and policy focus areas
- Monitor funding landscapes, calls for proposals, and philanthropic trends relevant to CBP
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of funding prospects, tracking outreach, relationships, and funding cycles
- With the operations team, help plan and coordinate donor events
- Prepare background briefs and donor profiles to support fundraising meetings and events
Corporate Sponsorship
- Support the development and delivery of corporate partnership proposals
- Work with the wider team to identify opportunities for corporate engagement consistent with our editorial independence
- Maintain records of corporate relationships and engagement in our CRM
Grant Applications and Reporting
- Prepare and write grant applications to charitable foundations and public funding bodies, in collaboration with the research team
- Manage grant compliance, including tracking reporting deadlines, coordinating internal input, and submitting funder reports on time
- Ensure all grant activity is tracked with clear notes on conditions, restrictions, and reporting obligations
Operations
- Maintain the Centre's CRM (Airtable) as the single source of truth for all fundraising and partnership activity
- Support the production of internal fundraising reports
- Assist with broader organisational tasks as required
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience in fundraising, development, business development, and/or partnerships
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write compelling grant applications and partnership proposals
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
- Alignment with our mission
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team
Desirable
- Experience working in or with think tanks, policy organisations, universities, or advocacy groups
- Familiarity with UK philanthropic and grant-making landscapes
- Experience managing corporate or institutional partnerships
- Understanding of charity fundraising regulations and Gift Aid
- Experience with Airtable or similar CRM tools
